Lovense toys not working — troubleshooting

Lovense toys connect through three things at once — your toy's Bluetooth, your phone's Lovense Connect app, and the internet between you and Camila. When something fails, the issue is almost always in one of those three layers. Here's the right order to check.

If you're a viewer and the toy panel is greyed out

If you see "{Model}'s toy is offline — reconnecting", that's a model-side problem. There's nothing to fix on your end except wait. The model will see a troubleshooter on her dashboard and reconnect. Most reconnects take under a minute.

The buttons stay disabled (not hidden) so you can keep watching the room without losing your place. Once the toy is back online, the buttons come alive again.

If you're a model whose toy keeps disconnecting

The five things that fix 95% of disconnect issues, in order:

  1. Charge the toy. Lovense toys auto-power-off after roughly 30 minutes of idle. Hold the power button for 3 seconds to wake it. Top tip: charge to 100% before every broadcast.
  2. Foreground the Lovense Connect app on your phone. Both Android and iOS aggressively kill background apps to save battery. Open Connect, swipe it forward, and don't let your phone screen lock — or, better, set Connect to No sleep in your phone's developer settings.
  3. Same WiFi as your computer. Lovense Connect bridges Bluetooth (between toy and phone) and WiFi (between phone and Camila). When phone and computer are on different networks, latency climbs and reliability drops. Use the same WiFi.
  4. Restart the router. A surprising number of disconnects clear after a 30-second router power-cycle. Worth trying before more involved fixes.
  5. Re-pair the toy. From your model dashboard, click the toy panel's Re-pair button. We'll show a fresh QR code. Open Add Toy in Connect, scan, done.

If none of the five fix it, the next two are heavier:

  • Reinstall Lovense Connect on your phone. Sometimes the app's local state gets stuck.
  • Clear your browser cache for camila.live. See Clearing cache and cookies.

Built-in troubleshooter

Camila's toy panel has a Toy not connecting? link that opens a guided modal walking you through the same five steps in order, with a Contact support button at the end that pre-fills a ticket with your model_id, toy_id, last 5 commands, and which steps you've already tried. If the troubleshooter doesn't get you back online, the ticket lands with the support team with all the diagnostic info already attached.

Toy showing as connected but commands aren't firing

This usually means the toy is paired to the app but Bluetooth between phone and toy has dropped. Pick up the toy and squeeze the power button — most toys vibrate briefly to confirm the link is alive. If they don't, re-pair.

I bought a new toy and it won't pair

  • Make sure it's a Lovense brand toy. Camila integrates with Lovense; other brands won't work.
  • Make sure your Lovense Connect app is up to date. New toy models sometimes ship before older app versions support them.
  • If it's a brand-new model launched in the last month, contact support@camila.live and we'll confirm whether our integration covers it yet. We add new models within a week of release.
