Taking a break — pausing or stepping away

Stepping back is not failure. Models who take regular breaks broadcast longer, healthier careers than models who push through. Camila has tools that make a break easy — and reversible.

Soft pause: "I'll be off for a few days"

For a short break (a holiday, a difficult week, a personal commitment):

  • Just don't go live. Your profile stays up; followers see your last-broadcast timestamp.
  • Optionally, post a short notice on your profile under Status ("Back Friday, eating my way through Lisbon").
  • DMs continue arriving — turn on the auto-reply ("Away till Friday — back soon ❤️") under Settings → DMs → Auto-reply.
  • Recurring tips from viewers continue arriving in your wallet; chargeback holds continue clearing.

You're back online the moment you go live again. No setting to flip. Followers get notified as usual.

Medium pause: "I'll be off for a few weeks"

For longer breaks (vacation, exam season, pregnancy, healing from illness):

  • Settings → Account → Take a break → Up to 30 days (or up to 90)
  • Your profile is hidden from search and recommendations. People who already follow you can still see your profile but the Follow button stops being available.
  • Your ranking position is frozen, not lost — when you come back, you don't start from zero.
  • Pending earnings continue clearing through the chargeback window. Available balance can still be paid out at the next cron.
  • DM auto-reply gets a built-in template explaining you're on a break.
  • Fan-club subscriptions can be paused (your call) — pausing means they don't bill while you're away, and re-billing resumes the day you come back.

To come back, click End break — you're live-able the same minute.

Long pause: "Indefinite, but I'm not closing"

Some models take 6+ months off — for studies, family, a different career chapter — without wanting to close their account. That's fully supported:

  • Settings → Account → Indefinite break
  • Same effects as a 30/90-day break, but with no auto-resume date.
  • We send a friendly check-in email at 6 months and again at 12 months. No pressure to come back; just a touch-base.
  • Your account stays in pause for as long as you want. Indefinite pause has no end date.

Your data, profile, follows, fan club, history, and tier all persist. When you come back — months later, even years later — it's all there.

Returning to broadcast

When you're ready to come back:

  1. Log in, click End break.
  2. Re-verify identity if more than 12 months have passed (an anti-fraud check; takes 5 minutes).
  3. Update your profile if you want — many models tweak the bio and add a "back!" hero photo.
  4. Schedule a comeback broadcast and tease it on your profile.
  5. Push notifications go out to your followers — many of whom kept following exactly so they'd be notified.

Models who come back from a long break are often surprised by how many followers stuck around. The follow loyalty on Camila is unusually high — your fans want you to be okay more than they want you to be online.

Closing vs taking a break

If you're sure you want to leave Camila for good, close the account (see Closing your account). If you're not sure, take an indefinite break first. The break is reversible at any time; closure starts the legal-retention clock and is harder to undo.

Take care.
