Camila is for adults only. Everyone on the platform — viewers, models, studio operators — must be at least 18 years old, and in some regions higher (21+ where local law requires it).
How we verify
For most viewer accounts a self-declaration at signup is enough — you check the box stating you're 18+. For features that involve money flowing to or from a person (tipping, going private, becoming a model, buying CX with certain payment methods) we may also ask for a one-time identity check using a government-issued photo ID.
Models and studio operators always go through full ID verification before they can broadcast — see Becoming a Camila model for the model side of this flow.
What we accept
When ID is needed, we accept:
- Passport (any country)
- Driving licence (most countries)
- National identity card (EU, UK, and most non-US countries)
Documents must be in date and clearly readable. The photo, name, and date of birth must be visible. We do not accept screenshots — we need a fresh photo of the document, taken when prompted.
What we do with your ID
- We use it once to verify your age and identity.
- The image and extracted fields (name, DOB, document number, country) are stored encrypted at rest.
- For viewers, the record is deleted 24 hours after a successful check unless we are required to retain it for fraud or law-enforcement reasons.
- For models, US law (18 U.S.C. § 2257) requires us to retain identity records for seven years after a model leaves the platform. We keep these records in a separate, restricted system away from day-to-day viewer data.
Refused or stuck?
If your verification didn't go through, the most common causes are: blurry photo, glare on the document, expired ID, or a document type we don't accept in your region. You can retry up to five times in 24 hours. After that, contact support@camila.live with the reference code shown on the failure screen and we'll review manually within four hours.
