Studio roles, permissions, and the studio center

Most studios on Camila aren't a one-person operation. There's an owner, a head of talent, a content manager, a tech lead, a finance contact. The studio dashboard has built-in roles so each team member sees and changes only what they should.

The five built-in roles

Role Sees Can change
Owner Everything Everything
Manager Roster, profiles, schedule, earnings dashboards Profile/schedule edits with model consent, model invites, contract templates
Talent Models assigned to them, profile previews, performance reports Profile/schedule edits with model consent
Finance All earnings, payouts, reports, tax docs Studio payout method, tax forms
Compliance All identity & 2257 records, mod actions, penalty history Submit ID corrections, respond to compliance requests

You can also create custom roles by combining permissions. Common ones we've seen:

  • Content reviewer — can view all broadcast content but cannot edit profiles or see earnings.
  • Trainer — can DM-coach a subset of models on tagging and presentation but cannot see their financial data.

Granular permissions

Beyond role, each user can have a subset of permissions toggled on or off:

  • View earnings (all / aggregate-only / none)
  • Edit profile (all models / assigned only / none)
  • Manage payouts
  • View 2257 records
  • View penalty records
  • Initiate model invites
  • View viewer-side analytics

A staffer with "view earnings: aggregate-only" sees the studio's total but not any individual model's number — useful for marketing staff who shouldn't see talent-level numbers.

The studio center layout

The studio dashboard has six top-level sections:

  1. Today — live status of every model on roster, real-time earnings, who needs support.
  2. Roster — full list, search, filter by tag/language/availability, per-model deep dives.
  3. Earnings & Payouts — week-by-week reports, per-model breakdowns, payout history, export.
  4. Compliance — identity status, 2257 records, penalty history, legal-hold flags.
  5. Settings — roles & permissions, payout method, tax info, studio profile.
  6. Support — direct line to the studio support team (separate from general model support).

Two-factor required

Owner accounts must have 2FA enabled — we enforce this from registration onward. Other roles strongly recommend 2FA; manager and finance roles can be required to use 2FA via studio settings.

Audit log

Every action a staffer takes is logged: who, when, what, why. Visible in Settings → Audit log, exportable. Retained for 7 years. Useful for:

  • Disputes about who changed what
  • Compliance audits
  • Showing a model that her profile change was made by a specific staffer (with consent flag)

Removing a staffer

When a staffer leaves your studio, remove them from Settings → Team. Their access is revoked instantly across the board. Audit log entries they created stay attributed to them so the history is intact.
